- Grant funds can be used for equipment, instructor costs & marketing
- USTA Southern is introducing a grant initiative to Parks and Recreation Departments currently providing little to no tennis programming. USTA Southern is committed to promoting and developing the growth of tennis and increasing participation at the grassroots level
- While we recognize that 70% of tennis played in the United States is played in public parks, we hope this grant will present a great opportunity for our Parks and Recreation Departments in the South to actively engage new and returning players to play tennis in a safe and meaningful way.
- Grants are paid up-front for $1,000, $2,000, or an “other” amount based on the tennis program offered. All grants are carefully reviewed by the USTA Southern Parks Task Force. Notification of award decisions and disbursements will be made within 2-4 weeks of application receipt.
