Agency Membership

Full Time Agency: Any agency organized for the purpose of providing recreation and park services for a particular community and aligning its aims and objectives consistent with the Georgia Recreation and Park Association, Inc.; shall not be entitled to vote. To be eligible for Agency membership an organization must employ a full-time, year-round salaried director; sponsor a variety of activities, and programs well distributed throughout the year, submit written aims and objectives.

Corporate Membership

Corporate Members: suppliers, vendors, architects, planners, and others who provide commercial/professional services to the park and recreation field in Georgia.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

individual membership

Individual Membership

Professional: Any full-time employee in the field of recreation and parks; to include State of Georgia certified administrators; supervisors, or leaders. Shall be entitled to all privileges of the Association, including the right to vote and hold elective office.

Associate: Any individual not eligible for a professional membership. Shall be entitled to all privileges of the Association except the right to vote, hold elective office, and chair a standing committee.

Student: Any individual currently enrolled full-time in a college or university as a candidate for a degree in recreation and/or related fields of study. Shall be entitled to all privileges of the Association except the right to vote, hold elective office, and chair a standing committee. Student membership is free if attending a college or university, which holds an Allied Membership in GRPA. Application must be submitted for free membership.

Retired Membership

Retired Membership: Any individual who was an active professional member of any state professional organization at the time of retirement and who is no longer employed in recreation, parks, or leisure services. A retired professional shall be entitled to all privileges of the Association as a Professional member, including the right to vote, hold an elective office, and chair or serve on a standing committee.
