GSAN- Afterschool Programs Supporting Students during Reopening
The Georgia Statewide Afterschool Network, Voices for Georgia's Children, Georgia Municipal Association, Georgia Association of Educational Leaders, and Georgia Family Connection Partnership have joined to host a conversation on how afterschool programs can support schools and communities to ensure young people and families have the support they need as schools reopen. The conversation will:
- Explore how education, afterschool, child care and communities can come together to innovate, find solutions, and support families.
- Provide examples from Georgia’s afterschool programs on how they are planning to support youth, families and communities – from keeping youth engaged, helping connect students and families to distance learning, and ensuring access to food, technology, and social and emotional supports.
- Provide ideas and tools to support planning and partnership.
Join us on Thursday, August 6th at 10:00 am. Please come prepared to share any innovative solutions taking place in your community. Register HERE.
